HOW I SPENT MY FALL VACATION 2023
The past several Novembers I’ve been working extra hard to not work hard at all. I had a situation a few years ago where I was running myself ragged and it did NOT turn out well for me. Since then, I’ve decided to take a month off from all things that were totally unnecessary to focus on rest, relaxation and rejuvenation.
This fall I went to a bunch of museums AND made a quilt.

Aaron bought tickets to the auto show so that we’d have something fun to do Thanksgiving week. I’m not a car person really, but I did enjoy myself. I even randomly wandered into a lounge where designs of upcycled car parts by Jeremy Scott were on display.

T-SHIRT QUILT
Aaron and I hoard tees. We collect all types of dope graphic tees. Aaron tends to hold onto his longer than me because after a few washes, the tees no longer look good on my apple shaped body. So I’ll get rid of them. But over the past year or so, I started cutting the graphics out and saving them so that I could make a t-shirt quilt with the squares. After lots of accumulation (we even cut up some sentimental tees we’d been holding on to in our keep safe box), we finally had enough for a blanket.
Unfortunately, I didn’t finish the blanket in during my November break. But here are a few photos of my progress. All I need to do now is add a border and backing and we’re in business.
